Question:
Does this scenario require antibiotics?

All other cardiac parameters normal. No symptoms. I take Arorvestatin 20 mg daily. Do I need to take doxycyclinn?

Hi Tariq,
If you are referring to the guidelines for antibiotic prophylaxis for bacterial endocarditis, then the answer is no. Currently the guidelines do not recommend any antibiotics unless you have had previous endocarditis or have an artificial valve. I hope this information is of help.
