Question:
Does the TAVR procedure require taking drugs to prevent rejection?
Am 86 yrs old. Was informed need aortic valve replacement due to only 0.6 opening left. Probably will want TAVR procedure. Q. Does this involve drugs to reduce immune response rejection of the implant? Thanks a lot for your response.

No. After the TAVR [Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement] procedure you will take an antiplatelet agent (Plavix or something similar) for a minimum of 3 months. Simple and effective procedure.
