Question:

Are aspirin and Cardvas tabs appropriate treatment for mitral valve prolapse?

ASPIRIN and CARDVAS tabs -- Is this suitable for the patient found with mitral valve prolapse at the early stage?

submitted by Adan from Tanzania, East Africa on 3/8/2014

Answer:

Dr. Paolo Angeliniby Texas Heart Institute cardiologist, Paolo Angelini, MD

This is for the local MD to decide. Usually, mitral valve prolapse is not an indication for Aspirin.
