Question:

What effect will very high blood pressure caused by sleep apnea have on my heart?

Age 87; 5' tall, weight 98 lb; mitral valve prolapse with 76% ef at +/- age 67. What effect will very high blood pressure caused by sleep apnea have on my heart? Cause heart failure?

High blood pressure from any cause will, over time, put you at increased risk of stroke, kidney failure and congestive heart failure.
