Question:
Should I expect additional testing? I have stress-induced wall motion abnormalities on stress echo.
My stress echo results say that there are stress induced wall motion abnormalities. The basilar inferolateral segments become moderately hypokinetic on the post-stress images. My baseline ECG is normal, and ejection fraction is 77%, which seems good from what I have read. Risk stratification per Duke score is low, which seems to indicate low risk as well. But, I have been referred to a cardiologist. I would like to know what "they" will be checking/looking for, and if I should expect additional testing? Thanks!

Dear Sandra: Most likely, the cardiologist will order a nuclear stress test depending on your age and other risk factors.
