Question:

Is there a different beta blocker that works as well as atenolol but without side effects?

Hello, I have been on atenolol for about 15 years, and for the same amount of time, I have also suffered with ed. My question is – is there a better beta blocker that doesn't cause ed and still works as well as atenolol?

Atasu K. Nayak, MDThanks for the question. Bystolic is an alternative to atenolol in patients with ED. Please check with your cardiologist before you change your medications.
