Question:

Is my father experiencing side effects from blood thinners?

My father is a heart patient survivor and takes several medications to maintain cholesterol levels, thin blood, etc. He recently went into his local clinic in Hondo for bloodshot eyes and excessive bruising. Are these side effects?

Yes, these side effects are probably related to blood thinner (anticoagulants). Any patient on blood thinners should be closely monitored by his or her doctor. Combination of medicines may increase the effects of some blood thinners. Talk to your dad's doctor. Regards.
