Question:
Do I have congestive heart failure?
An echogram indicates that the ventricles of my heart do not pump efficiently due to thickening of the area. My legs and feet are swollen as well as my hands and eyes. When I started taking Lasix, I immediately lost 8 lbs. Does this indicate congestive heart failure?

Generalized edema (swelling) may result from several conditions. It is often due to heart failure, but not always.
