Question:

What can I take for a sinus headache if I am on Coumadin?

submitted by Bobby from Texas on 10/25/2015

Answer:

by St. Luke's Hospital pharmacist, Stephen Michaud, PharmD, BCPS

Without knowing your other medical conditions, it is difficult to recommend anything over-the-counter. Many over-the-counter medications may not interact with your Coumadin but may be dangerous to take depending on your other medical conditions. The safest thing to take would be acetaminophen (Tylenol), with a daily dose limit of 4000 mg. We would encourage you to follow-up with your personal physician for further recommendations.
