Do these findings constitute a subendocardial infarction?
Short spells of elevated troponin with normal EKG and negative stress test; no chest pain and no shortness of breath; would this mean subendocardial infarction?

It implies some injury to the heart from chronic ischemia and intermittent small areas of subendocardial infarction, but it also occurs in people with low oxygen tensions in their blood, low blood pressures, rapid heart rates, running marathons.
