Question:

Do I have a severe heart problem?

Do I have a severe heart problem? The conclusion of my 2D echocardiogram shows normal left ventricular resting systolic function; calculated ejection fraction of 71%; diastolic profile consistent with advanced diastolic dysfunction; normal right ventricular size function; mitral and aortic sclerosis; normal pulmonary artery pressure.

The test indicates the heart has difficulty relaxing which can be a potential cause of shortness of breath and congestive heart failure. I cannot comment on severity without more clinical context. That question is better answered by your doctor.
