Question:
Can a coronary blockage be caused by myocardial bridge?
I have a myocardial bridge on my left mid coronary artery. I also have 50 percent blockage right below the bridge. 65Can my blockage be caused by the myocardial bridge? Cardiologist says blood flow through blockage is good. Thank you.

Dear Fran, I doubt that the bridge is contributing to the blockage. It is not causing the blockage. The best way to tell if blockage plus the bridge are causing symptoms is to perform a nuclear stress test (which your doctor may have already done).Sincerely.
