Awareness
The Center will implement a comprehensive plan of advertising for the initiative, produce scholarly articles, conduct symposiums and promote a new series of studies, along with a new culture on a confused chapter of cardiology.
Training
The Center will create and teach a Recommended Structured Medical Exam specifically designed to detect and evaluate the repercussions and prognosis of Coronary Artery Anomalies (hereinafter CAA). The Center will also create and teach a plan of all recommended interventions for CAA (both surgical and catheter-based), along with offering continuing medical education on CAA by hosting conferences and by offering Certification of Competence to trained professionals in the field. The Center will promote the creation of a network of “Centers of Excellence” in CAA.
Screening
An MRI Study was conducted by the Center. The study not only gathered critical information on CAA, but it could also result in establishing cost-effective protocols for the prevention of death from the other most frequent cause of sudden cardiac death in athletes and the general population, cardiomyopathies. Analysis of the information gathered through the MRI screenings is currently being conducted.
Treatment
Medical consultations and interventions for CAA that should be discovered during the Center’s activities will be referred to professionals within the medical community.
