Texas Heart Institute Library and Learning Resource Center maintains the most current and up-to-date collections of books, journals, and audiovisual material possible. New books and media are added to the collection quarterly, and can be reviewed using the links below.
The Book Collection is shelved by subject in accordance with the National Library of Medicine's classification system. The scope and depth of our collection reflect not only the history of cardiovascular disease, but also the best of academic scholarship and cutting-edge trends in the study of cardiovascular disease.
NEW BOOKS
The Journals Collection is arranged alphabetically by title and selected recent issues are displayed just inside the library. We maintain subscriptions to more than 40 print journals and provide electronic access to 9,000 more. Our librarians can locate specific articles for you.

Texas Heart Institute Professional Staff Publications List (2008-): A database of THI professional staff publications from 2008 forward is available in the RefWorks format. The searchable list is updated monthly to provide an accurate picture of THI's research activities and can be quickly sorted by professional staff member or year. You can easily create, format and print bibliographies based on selected records.
THI PUBLICATIONS LIST
Items from the Media Collection include DVDs, CD-ROMs, and VHS tapes. They are available by request at the circulation desk. We also maintain audiovisual equipment for onsite viewing of materials in a wide range of media formats.
NEW MEDIA
The historical Archives Collection for the Texas Heart Institute is housed in the Library & Learning Resource Center. Speak to a librarian about donating your papers, memorabilia, or medical devices to our historical collection.

Circulation
Our collections are available for everyone to use onsite. The book and media collections are also available for borrowing by full-time THI staff, THI professional staff, and members of THI educational programs that are at least 12 months long. Up to 3 items can be checked out for one week at a time with up to 3 renewals. Please see the circulation desk for details.
