Annual Symposium on Risk, Diagnosis and Treatment of Cardiovascular Disease in Women

The Center for Women’s Heart & Vascular Health sponsors the Office of Continuing Medical Education (CME) annual symposium on issues concerning cardiovascular disease in women. First held in 2010 with more than 100 participants, this program is an accredited, day-long symposium for healthcare providers. Under the direction of Dr. Stephanie Coulter, the symposium includes unique presentations highlighting the most current research on prevention of heart and vascular disease and strategies to improve diagnosis and treatments in women specifically. Invited faculty includes leading physician-scientists who are experts in their fields.

Faculty highlights recent progress in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular disease and stroke, as well as new therapeutic methods. Current information on the status and future directions of cardiovascular medicine and surgery are also included in these activities.

The Target Audience is cardiologists, gynecologists, primary care physicians, internal medicine physicians, family medicine practitioners, endocrinologists and nurse practitioners.

Credit Designation  | Texas Heart Institute designates this journal-based CME activity for a maximum of 5 AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity. Certain articles are currently designated for CME credit based on the following:
