Each year, the president designates February as American Heart Month to raise awareness about heart and blood vessel diseases, and to support the essential programs which combat it.
Heart and vascular diseases are the No. 1 killer of women (and men), more deadly than all forms of cancer combined. That is why organizations across the country unite to raise awareness each year of the importance of a heart-healthy lifestyle.
